Terms of Service

Scope

These terms apply to the SendRec platform (app.sendrec.eu), the sendrec.eu website, and any associated services.

Account and use

You may create an account to use SendRec for recording, storing, and sharing video messages. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You may not use the service for unlawful purposes or to distribute content that violates the rights of others.

Your content

You retain ownership of all videos and content you create with SendRec. We do not claim any rights over your content. By using the sharing features, you grant us a limited license to store and serve your content to the recipients you specify.

Paid plans

SendRec offers a free plan and paid subscription plans. Prices are shown on our pricing page and are billed in advance for each subscription period.

Payments are handled by Creem, who act as merchant of record for the transaction. Creem's terms apply to the payment itself, and your invoice is issued by them.

You can cancel a subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancelling stops future charges and your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which the account returns to the free plan. If a payment is refunded, the account returns to the free plan immediately.

If you use SendRec to record or share other people's personal data, we process it on your behalf, and our data processing agreement governs how. It forms part of these terms for every account, paid or free, and takes precedence over them wherever the two disagree about personal data. It also grants a refund of the unpaid remainder of your term in the one case described there: you object to a new sub-processor and we cannot offer you an alternative.

Returning to the free plan means the free plan's limits apply again. Videos you recorded while on a paid plan remain accessible, but creating new recordings is subject to the free plan's monthly allowance and duration limit.

The self-hosted version of SendRec is free under the AGPLv3 and requires no subscription. Paid plans apply to the managed service at app.sendrec.eu.

If you subscribe to our newsletter, you agree to receive occasional email updates about SendRec. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email.

Intellectual property

The SendRec name, logo, and website content are the property of the SendRec project. The SendRec open-source software is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3 (AGPLv3).

Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of this service, including but not limited to data loss or service interruptions.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the member state in which the operator resides.
